A Small Flower Farm in Virginia
The Good Garden is a small flower farm in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Each spring the garden fills with peonies and seasonal flowers grown slowly and intentionally. What begins as tiny shoots in the soil become armfuls of blooms shared with our community at the roadside stand. Flowers are harvested fresh each morning during the season.
Peony Season
Peony season arrives in late April and lasts only a few short weeks. During bloom the roadside stand is stocked each morning with freshly cut peony bouquets. Because the season is brief, flowers often sell out quickly. Follow along on Instagram for daily updates when the first blooms arrive.
Garden Coats
Heirlooms, made to be worn.
Between seasons in the garden, vintage and antique quilts are slowly reimagined into one-of-a-kind Garden Coats.
Each piece is cut and sewn here at The Good Garden, preserving the faded fabrics, hand stitching and beautiful imperfections of quilts that have already lived a lifetime.

The final days of our 2026 flower season are here.
The roadside stand will be open for fresh seasonal bouquets every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday through August 23.
After the last summer blooms leave the garden, we’ll turn our attention to fall planting and preparing for next spring’s peony season.
